The Children's Council of the Museu Blau visit "From the World to the Museum"
A visit from the Children's Council of the Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona
Last Saturday March 14th members of the Children's Council of the Museu Blau visited the exhibition From the World to the Museum. Product Design, Cultural Heritage at the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona.
The Museu Blau is the first museum in Catalonia to form a Children's Council that serves as an advisory team in relation to the function of the space, its contents, and the activities at the centre.
Children's Councils are an appropriate tool in cities to respond to the rights of children according to article 12 in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. This new advisory body at the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona is made up of 16 children from 5th and 6th grade.
