More than 90,000 visits during the Museums’ opening month

After a long preparation period, and extensive restauration work, on December 14th, the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona opened its doors to the public. 

One month later, more than 90,000 visitors, mainly Barcelona locals and a small proportion of tourists, have toured the 6,000 m2 of the museum’s exhibition space, visiting the four permanent collections: ciutadans de la ciutat i una petita proporció de turistes, han recorregut els 6.000 m2 d’espai d’exposició del museu i han visitat les quatre mostres permanents: From the World to the Museum. Product Design, Cultural Heritage, Extraordinary! Collections of Decorative and Author-Centred Art (3rd-20th Century), Dressing the body. Silhouettes and fashion (1550-2015), and Graphic Design: from trade to profession (1940-1980).

Don’t forget that February 18th, 2015 is the opening of Design for Life, the first temporary exhibit that brings together ninety-nine innovative proposals that solved everyday problems.
